I was planning on giving Final Furlong a new look and name and such. Should I close the Final Furlong and start over with Among The Elite?
I know a lot of older members are way behind, and newer members seem overwhelmed with the number of horses in the game. Not to mention, interest seems to be declining rapidly, possibly because of those factors. Should we start fresh, maybe with 10 or so of our old horses?
Let me know, guys, I really want your opinions on this.

Only ten? Yikes...if we did do that I wouldn't know who to keep, I have so many. Ten to fifteen of each (yearlings, 2yos, 3yos etc) might be easier for me, but...that would still be tough without help. Maybe we could try something else? Rather than a completely new start, maybe you could go down a list of our horses (we were suppose to send you a list for our Year End Reports anyway) and tell us which ones are worth keeping (at least G3 level maybe?) and which are not. Just a 'yes' or 'no' beside the name would work. That would diminish the number of horses, make the game more competitive and would be a big help to people like me who have so many and can't seem to make a dent in the number even when they sell some.

^^ I do like that idea...although I might be able to narrow it down. I'm getting a little frustrated with my number of horses.
Although, I do love a lot of my stallions...although, again I could narrow it down some. Maybe have separate limits for racehorses/broodmares/stallions to transfer?? I would be more than willing for something like that...

I'd be cool with that, just keeping a few but I also know that some of the older stables may not want to lose everything..the amount now has'nt made me lose interest just sometimes a little frustrated because it seems some weeks I have a hard enough time just coming up with horses to enter verses some of the bigger stables that seem to have just about multiple horses for every race.
However I don't think that whatever number you/we pick should be per class ex. 2 y/o, 3 y/o etc. If you think about most of the newer stables only have around 10 or so to start with, therefor it would still be a major advantage for older members. Plus I think people are starting to realize that they might have more then they can handle and that would take out a large chunk, if not I think it may not take long for some people to end up in the same boat again next breeding season.

Hmm, maybe like 5 yearlings, 5 2 year olds, 5 3 year olds, 5 4 year olds, etc. then pick 5 stallions, 5 broodmares...Something like that?? That would knock even the big stables down to 30-35ish rather than the 100 or so I think I currently have LoL.

^ I don't think I could pick only five of each. I really don't like the idea of starting over...although I do like the idea of cutting down on the number of horses. I'll try to get mine down to twenty of each and go from there.

As a fairly older stable I have quite a few horses...I honestly don't want to start completely over. I know a lot of older stables will feel this way for the simple fact as we have built our stables up from scratch just like the newer players and it wouldn't be fair to us. But, I think it is a chance for us to narrow our stables down..get rid of our really crappy horses and clean up our stables a bit.

I understand what you guys are saying as towards the older stables not wanting to start over and I completely understand that. I would prob. feel the same way if I was in that position. I'm just thinking and mybe I'm just missing something but if we just cut out a few that it won't really do much...besides help members with tons of horses just weed out a few bad ones. Seems like then that it would just be an advantage to the older stables.

^ It would do something. If all the older stables (I'm counting CF, RGS, FFT, AGA, IA, DAS, SF, just so you know where I'm getting the number) cut just ten racehorses, there would be seventy less horses vying for blacktype, which would make it easier to get blacktype. And that is only cutting ten. I've cut thirty two/three year olds so far, which means I cut about half of them.

I have a tons of horses. lol I love most of them and most all of them perform but i'd be willing to cut down. Cause most all of my broodmares that bombed on the track have nice placed/winning 2yos this year (I was really surprised!!). But yeah i'm all for tossing out the crap horses.
But yeah i'll start over if everybody does.

I'd be willing to start over if we were allowed to bring over horses, and I like the idea of a certain number from each group.
