Alright, I have been receiving a lot of questions lately, and most of them are the same ones from different people. So, here's your answers in case you're confused on something:
Q: The line in the trainer's notes that say something about steeplechasing - what does it mean since there are both turf and steeplechase races in the game?
A: I will be running the actual steeplechase races by hand, so they will not be in the Stretch Drive program. Please consider all references to "steeplechase" in the trainer's notes as turf.
Q: What do the trainer's notes mean? Some lines contradict the others!
A: Here's a rundown: 1st line - breaking speed 2nd line - average running speed 3rd line - late speed/burst of power 4th line - stamina 5th line - consistency 6th line - surface 7th line - running style (this has no reference whatsoever to distance!) 8th line - courage
Q: Can I delete these horses?
A: There will soon be a "Kentucky Horse Park" opening up on Final Furlong for retired/unwanted horses. A roster will be kept, and if you want to provide a brief bio, you may.
If you have/can think of any questions that should be added to this post, please let me know!

Q: How do we tell if a horse can actually run in the steeplechase races.
A: If your horse was previously a steeplechaser, it will still succeed over jumps. Also, if your horse is a son/daughter of a steeplechase stallion or mare, it is likely that said horse will be a 'chaser as well. Otherwise, it is advised to leave them on the flat.

Q: Why are all of my horses turf horses?
A: They are not all turf horses, though the "Grumpy Old Trainer" might have you believe that. Any horse with a semi-decent turf rating will have something like "may show some improvement on turf". Unless your horse has "train this one for steeplechase immediately!" or "you'd be making a mistake if you didn't train this one for steeplechase", just start them out on the dirt.

Hey Erin, I was just wondering, can 7 year olds race or are they to be retired?

Yes, they can race through their seven-year-old season, but most will be past their prime by then.
